Shkurkin Old Barn Shipping is via United Parcel Service (UPS) and all shipments must be insured for at least the purchase value and may be insured for the appraised value at the discretion of the buyer. Shipping will be in a custom, reinforced parcel with protection for the face of the painting and support for both the back and front of the art from zip code 98508, Olympia, Washington Art can also be picked up by the buyer or the buyer's agent and we will also delivery to local addresses. If the buyer wishes to use their own shipping account we will be glad to delivery to their shipping agent. Title Old Barn Subject: Deserted barn framed by two leafless trees in empty field with mountains in background. Clouds roll over a blue sky and yellow orange grasses and barn facade are lit by a single light source. The otherworldly light highlights the gnarled tree trunk and animates an otherwise mundane subject. Condition: Fair. Painting is clean and retains a slight gloss from original varnish but slight craquelure is evident in sky area. Medium: Signature & Labels: Signed lower left in red paint with artist's label on reverse. Size: 28 by 36 inches in a 33 by 41 inch frame Framing: Hand made artist black slat wood measuring 3/8 inch wide and l.5 inches deep; two inch grey painted paper mat board and l/2 inch white painted wood fillet. Scuff marks evident on frame with some chipping of black paint on all sides of molding. Some denting in upper center of hand made white painted wood fillet. Surface dirt and abrasions on painted mat.
